Rob Beales recently completed the script for the Water Fight project. "This story is one that I hope will get a great response from kids, but also from every nostalgic adult that remembers long summer days.," Beales said. With the writing done, Ancient Squid reached out to the artist community for someone who could bring the right feel to this story. The effort was led by Cuitla Huezo who, after an exhaustive search, eventually contacted Luis Amoros. After being impressed with his sample pages, Luis was signed on to complete the work.

Remarking about working with an artist located in another country, Huezo believes “good communication will be key to a successful collaboration.” Water Fight, the story of a group of kids taking on adventurous missions in the biggest water fight of all time, is expected to debut next year at the San Diego Comic-Con.
